March Madness
As you can see my my new little widget in the sidebar, I've gone basketball crazy! I'm really into Women's basketball this year since two of our state teams are still in the tourney. I nearly stressed out during the OSU-Florida State game last night. Andrea Riley was fouled with .7 seconds left and made one of her free throws. Talk about close!! By the way, did I mention this was in overtime? Next up are the Lady Sooners. As you can see, I'm not getting a whole lot of anything done around here other than filling out brackets and watching basketball. Thankfully, I've converted one of my boys (Chase) into a basketball fan and he watched the whole OSU game with me last night. He loves to watch that shot clock! LOL

Guess the Book
You know the drill...
It was a bright cold day in April, and the clocks were striking thirteen. Winston Smith, his chin nuzzled into his breast in an effort to escape the vile wind, slipped quickly through the glass doors of Victory Mansions, though not quickly enough to prevent a swirl of gritty dust from entering along with him.

Ten Things I Like This Week
1. Sara Bareilles' album entitled "Little Voice." I bought it on iTunes one day while I was "distracted."
2. Canadian Bacon/Pineapple Pizza on very thin crust. (Think Dominoes)
3. 70 degree weather
4. Warm Vanilla Sugar Lotion from Bath & Body Works. It smells so good!
5. "Don't Stop the Music" by Rihanna. I love the part that sounds like Michael Jackson's "Wanna Be Startin' Something"
6. American Idol
7. Pioneer Woman's Post on Wrangler Jeans. I admit to being partial to Wranglers since Chris has been wearing them for as long as I can remember.
8. My kids getting great report cards.
9. Reading "Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing" by Judy Blume to my nine-year old. I absolutely love this book and so far he's hooked. I decided if he didn't want to read, I'd just read some of my favorite books to him. So far, so good.
10. Visiting outside with my new neighbors.

5 Things that Distract Me
The crowds have been crying out for a new blog post. (OK, it was really onely one person...my sister, Kristen) She gave me the above topic and I'm going with it. Here are the 5 things that distract her.
1) shiny things
2) opportunity to debate whether I should drink real or diet coke and what it will cost me in the end
3) TMZ.com and other ridiculous gossip news sites
4) talking to my bossi (plural for bosses)
5) daydreaming
Here are 5 Things that Distract Me:
1. The internet and anything on it. I can be working away on my computer and decide to take a little break by reading a blog. The next thing I know I've linked from one blog to another and another and 30 minutes has passed me by.
2. The telephone. A conversation that should take 5 minutes turns into 30 minutes very easily. For example, last night I talked to Kristen and the topics went from music to Saturday Night Live to Elliot Spitzer (Now his story is a whole other blog post. Actually, we've all done stupid stuff and hopefully ours doesn't end up on national tv. No judgment here. I just can't believe his wife went up there with him while he made the first announcement. She looked very stoic. Maybe she told him she'd go up there, but she was going to kill him when they got home!) We go from one topic to another (as you can tell by my blog posts) without much ado. We sometimes warn the other that we are changing topics, but most of the time it doesn't matter. We can follow the conversation but most "normal" people can't keep up.
3. Laundry
4. Long lunches
5. iTunes. I decide I need some new music to listen to while I'm working and as usual another 30 minutes passes me by while I'm going from one song clip to another.

All is Forgiven
Please disregard my post about the small cafe and busing. It was written in a frenzy. I'm now relaxed thanks to this delicious coke with perfect sonic type ice. And then there was the thick honey peppered bacon. One bite of that and all was forgiven...even dirty tables. (BTW, the whole place is nice and clean now.)
Note to Small Cafe Where I'm Working
There is no one in here but me and a group of ladies. We have all been served and are finished with our meals. Of the approximately 20 tables in this cafe, at least 10 are dirty. A few dishes have been picked up, but not ONE table has been wiped off. How hard is it? Get someone to bus the tables properly. Also, you might want to occasionally check the bathroom to make sure it has toilet paper. That's all I'm sayin'.
Update: I just can't stop. Now he is cleaning the tables and oh my! I think they need bussing lessons. I bussed a lot of tables in my day. Hey, dude! I'm right here. I can teach you how to bus! Get a black tub to set all the dirty dishes in. That way you don't have to keep walking back and forth to the trashcan. Get a bottle of spray and carry it with you along with the cloth you are going to use to clean the tables. Put the dishes in the black tub. Spray the table and wipe it off with a clean cloth. Be sure to pick up the salt and pepper shakers and clean under them too. Also, cleaning the booth seats and chairs is part of the process. Can you not see all those crumbs on them? AUGH! I've got to get out of here.

Note to Stupid People in the Booth Behind Me
1. Do ya have to pick the booth right by me? You can see that I'm trying to work. There were at least 8 other open booths, but you have to sit right behind me.
2. Please shut your mouth when eating chips. Yes, chips crunch, but there is no need for the whole restaurant to hear your crunching.
3. Hideaway Pizza is not brand new. There is a new Hideaway Pizza location on the NW Highway, but Hideaway Pizza has been around for ages and started in Stillwater, OK. If you are going to take your guests around town, at least get your information right.
4. The best sushi in town is not at the little walk up place you mentioned. Ever heard of Sushi Neko?
5. Using damn in every sentence does not make one macho. Enough said.
6. The name of the place with the fried chicken and cold beer is Eishen's. Refer to #3.
7. "Washington D.C. is its own animal." This guy needs to run for president on that platform along with his views on gun control. Oh and if you meet this guy be sure not to ask his opinion on anything. He'll be glad to tell you whatever he thinks about anything without any prodding.
9. Yes, I do have PMS today and you made the mistake of sitting by me. I'll be nicer tomorrow, I promise. OK, maybe we better say I'll be nicer by Wednesday. How's that sound? And, if you ever need help touring your guests around OKC, give me a call.
