Flock!

Ok, I know I haven't written an entry in ages.  This summer has been way too busy so far.  I mean we're already halfway through June.  Before I know it, we'll be shopping for school supplies and back-to-school clothes.  Anyway, I'm trying out a new browser for Mac called Flock that lets you do blog entries from it and also allows you to drag and drop photos to Flickr.  So, bear with me as I experiment for the next few days.

Adventures with Sue the T-Rex

My mom, the boys and my niece went to the Sam Noble Museum in Norman to see Sue the T-Rex. I had actually seen Sue on a visit to The Field Museum in Chicago (a must see if you are ever in Chicago) and knew the boys would think it was cool. The museum had all sorts of dinosaurs (the fossils that is) several of which were actually found in Oklahoma.

Skippyjon Jones by Judy Schachner

My older son's teacher introduced him to these wonderful books about a Siamese cat who thinks he is a Chihuahua. Hilarious!! Every time we read the books, we find something else to laugh about. Tonight the boys laughed and laughed about Skippyjon liking "mice and beans." We have a read-along cd that goes with Skippyjon Jones in the Doghouse and the boys have listened to it about a dozen times. The author does a great job of reading her book. Our copy came from Scholastic, but I'm not sure how to order the cd directly. I just checked Amazon and the third installment is due in October. I can't wait!
